Shadow Social is your behind-the-scenes content capture for weddings, events and all the moments in between. Founded and run by Lessi (and her incredible team of content creators), we capture your day the way you’ll actually want to relive it – candid, unfiltered and ready to share with your loved ones.
We exist for a simple reason: on the biggest days of your life, you should be present. While your photographer is framing the timeless shots and your videographer is crafting the cinematic film, we’re quietly in the background grabbing the real, in-the-moment magic – the “I didn’t even know anyone filmed that!” moments. Everything is shot on an iPhone, social-first and turned around fast, so you’re reliving your day within 24 hours instead of chasing your bridesmaids for blurry phone clips.
What we do. Weddings are our heart, but we’re the perfect +1 to it all – secret proposals, engagement parties, bridal showers, milestone birthdays, corporate events and photoshoots. Our packages flex to your day, from full 12-hour coverage across multiple events down to custom hourly bookings. We also specialise in beautiful film photography, adding that nostalgic, timeless texture you can’t fake.

What is a wedding content creator?
We get asked this all the time. So, think of us as your wedding day hype squad with an iPhone and film camera in hand. While your photographer is busy capturing the timeless, frame-above-the-mantelpiece shots, and your videographer is making you a cinematic masterpiece, we’re sneaking around grabbing the candid, unfiltered, “OMG I didn’t know anyone filmed that!” moments.
We shoot everything in social-first formats, so instead of bugging your bridesmaids for iPhone clips, you get ready-to-post content within 24 hours. Basically, we’re the behind-the-scenes besties you didn’t know you needed.
What is the best time of day to capture?
We LOVE capturing the ceremony and photos. That is the most magical content! The reception entrance and first dance is always beautiful too.
Once we set up a discovery call, we can go through your run of day and identify the best moments to capture.
What are your package prices?
We have an 8, 10 and 12 hour package - however we can create a custom package to best suit the needs of your day if required. Send us an enquiry via our website with the details of your wedding and our team will get in touch with the best package for you. If our prices are a little out of your budget, let us know what you really want captured and what your budget is, and we can create a custom package for you.
How quickly to you send us the content?
A download link for all raw content will be waiting for you in your inbox when you wake up the next morning. However we do ask that you give us 24 hours for all of the content to be loaded into your folder (it takes some time as the files are quite large). We will also share with you a draft of your first edit for review within 24 hours and the rest of the edited content will come throughout the week.
What is the process after my big day?
Content will be ready to download within 24 hours, as well as your first edit. Once you're happy with your first edit, we will post it on our Instagram account and invite you and your partner to collaborate on the post so that it is posted on all accounts. The remaining agreed edits will follow the week of the event for you to use as you wish.
How long should I book you for?
This is really dependant on what you would like covered. We strongly encourage having your ceremony and photos covered as that is the most magical content. Once we know timing on that, our team can advise you the best package based on whether you would like the morning of covered, or the reception. Send us an email and we can discuss the best package for your needs.
How far in advance should I book you?
As soon as possible! We are booking up fast and we recommend you get in as soon as possible to secure us for your special day.
Do you travel?
Yes we do! We are Melbourne based but can travel all over Victoria (travel fees apply). We are also open to events across Australia, and Europe (also travel fees applied).
