About
Katcha Studio, known simply as [kat-cha], is a Sydney-based video guestbook service turning traditional wedding and event guestbooks into something guests actually want to use. Instead of a pen and a page of half-legible signatures, Katcha Studio sets up a vintage-style rotary telephone booth where guests pick up the handset and leave a heartfelt, funny, or off-the-cuff video message for the happy couple, birthday star, or guest of honour. Guests are free to share whatever feels right in the moment, well-wishes, favourite memories, life advice for the newlyweds, or an outright roast making it as personal and unscripted as the people leaving the messages. It’s the kind of keepsake that captures a grandmother’s laugh, a best man’s toast outtake, or a tearful thank-you, moments a photographer or standard video package would likely miss entirely.
Services & Packages
We offer two ways to bring the video guestbook experience to your big day:
- The Signature (from $590 AUD) our full-service option for Sydney and surrounding areas. We arrive roughly an hour before your event to set up the booth, leave it running until 11:00 PM, and return afterward for pack-down. All videos are delivered via a downloadable link within 24 hours, along with an edited highlight video, and the setup can be personalised with faux florals to match your colour scheme. Please note travel fees are not included and will vary depending on your event location.
- The Classic ($490 AUD / $590 NZD) a self-setup rental available across Australia and New Zealand. The booth, a flashlight, and an instruction arch are delivered 2–3 days before your event, with shipping both ways included. Simply set it up yourself, run your event, and return the booth within two days afterward, with videos delivered within 24 hours of return.
We’re also available for custom packages, whether you’re planning a destination wedding or have something else special in mind.

We’re based in Sydney, Australia, with our full-service Signature package available to Sydney and surrounding areas, and our Classic ship-to-you package reaching couples across both Australia and New Zealand, so wherever you’re tying the knot, we can likely be part of your day.

How do I decide which package to go for?
Choose Classic if you’re comfortable setting up the guestbook yourself and want a more flexible, DIY option.
Choose Signature if you prefer a stress-free experience where we handle the setup and receive videos the very next day.
What's the booking process?
After deciding on your package, make a booking request to enquire about availability. We’ll respond as soon as possible with availability details.
To confirm your booking, a 30% deposit is required. For the Classic package, an additional $200 refundable deposit is also required. The remaining balance is due one week prior to your event.
Is the video guestbook attended during the event?
No, there won’t be anyone to assist during the event, but instructions are provided so your guests can easily record their messages on their own.
