The elegant winery wedding of Ally and Dean, set in Melbourne’s Yarra Valley captured our eye the moment we saw their beautiful images. A celebration that is sure to inspire, immaculately styled with rich blooms and undulating foliage and paired with a perfectly polished ivory and navy bridal party. Ally and Dean’s joy radiates through each and every image and we are so excited to share this gorgeous wedding with you.
Wedding
Style
We wanted the day to be timeless and romantic whilst still being modern. The barn at Stones can be quite rustic so we wanted to bring in clean and lush styling to modernise the space.
The Love
Story
We met during the Melbourne Cup Carnival on 10/11/12.We were introduced by one of my friends who then stood by my side as one of my bridesmaids at our wedding. It was a total setup with my friend forcing me to talk to Dean and giving Dean my number without me knowing… Luckily he texted me that night and 6 and a ½ years on we are married!
The Engagement
We went to Adelaide to celebrate our 5th anniversary with aweekend full of our favourite things – wineries and food. Whilst we were away Dean’s friend decorated our house with photos and rose petals where Dean proposed on our arrival home
Memorable
Moments
It’s hard to choose just one moment. As I mentioned we both absolutely loved our ceremony. We also loved hearing the words ofour families and friends during their speeches and tearing up the dance floor later in the night!
The Dress
Details
I visited lots of bridal designers and tried on a bunch of things. There was one dress I kept going back to but it wasn’t quite perfect. So I ended up customising a Chosen by One Day Bridal gown! I worked with the girls to minimise busy seam lines and add the beautiful beaded lace in the back. It took the dress from beautiful to perfect and the girls at One Day Bridal were a dream to work with.

Words of
Wisdom
It’s like a second full time job! Even for someone like me who loves all things wedding it was a little overwhelming at times.
It’s been said a thousand times before but it is so true. The day goes WAY too fast! Take the time to look around the room and realise that it is full of the people you love the most and who are here to support you both. But most of all make sure you take time with each other, after all that is the whole reason you are there!
