Lisa and Mish met in Dubai through mutual friends at an Aussie-themed beach bar, and credit a few too many drinks as the start of their incredible relationship.
Fast forward a casual seven years, the pair elected to say ‘I Do’ at Gilston Manor, a beautiful venue tucked away inland from the Gold Coast, gathering 83 of their nearest and dearest to celebrate – and boy did it look like a proper party!
Shot by the one, the only, Bianca Virtue, every emotion, every laugh and every dodgy shape cut on the dance-floor was captured and can now be seen right here exclusively on One Fine Day.

The Proposal
“After being together for 7 years already Mish knew he had to think of something out of the box to surprise and catch me off guard. After visiting a jewellery shop looking for a present for my Mum’s birthday, I was waiting for them to bring out more options and the jeweller suggested I try some rings on for fun. I tried on a few rings and then Mish put a ring on my finger and held my hand, looked into my eyes and said what about this one babe… I was in love with this ring and said it’s just beautiful. He then grabbed my other hand and said, “Will you marry me?”. I was in total shock, I looked at both him and the jeweller and said, ‘What?!’ Mish said, “This is your engagement ring I designed… will you marry me bub?”. It was honestly such a magical/non-traditional proposal. He said he didn’t even know that was the moment, but something came over him when I was sitting there that he just had to do it then and there. I literally felt like I was in a movie! We then celebrated the big news at the restaurant we had our first date at with some close friends.”
The Dress
“I knew a few details of what I was looking for but wasn’t sure on the exact style of dress. I’ve been a big fan of One Day Bridal designs for a while beforehand, so I knew they created a great range of stunning dresses.”
The Dress
“We flew home from Dubai to celebrate our engagement with our friends & family, find a wedding venue and dress all in a week! Kelly, my Maid Of Honour, flew up from Sydney to help me and we visited a few boutiques. I found my dream dress from Sphere Collective. Sarah was amazing as we had to do it all from abroad with her and the designer. I always wanted a second look for the reception. My reception dress I found another incredible designer from Melbourne, Amber Chloe. I sent her the design and then she added her flair to create such a fun yet classy dress. With the help of her and my good friend Elle it all came together just in time!”
The Dress
“The look I settled on was the Ceremony Dress & Overskirt from Chosen By One Day Bridal & One Day Bridal and a reception dress designed by Amber Chloe. I paired my ceremony dress with Amelie Georgie earrings and reception dress I wore Isabella May earrings. For my shoes, I was so lucky. Mish gifted me with the most amazing pair of Jimmy Choos!”
Memorable Moments
“When we saw each other for the first time walking down the aisle. It was a very special moment filled with tears and laughter all at the same time. Such a surreal feeling. Then another favourite moment was our reception entrance. We entered with everyone standing up cheering and waving napkins as our MC’s introduced us as MR & MRS NORRIS… That feeling I will never forget. Having all your loved ones in the same room was just a dream come true! We partied all night long and into the next day with a recovery day by the pool.”

Ceremony Readings
“Erin one of our friends created her own reading for us which was so beautiful (we heard it for the first time at the ceremony) and then our other good friend Lorraine did a reading from a verse out of Mish’s favourite book – Paulo Cohelo, The Alchemist. Having them both be a part of our day meant the world to us.”
The Music
First dance song: Never Tear Us Apart by INXS.
Walking down the aisle: “The bridesmaids walked to Higher Love by James Vincent. I walked down the aisle to You’ve Got The Love by Florence & The Machine.”
Ceremony exit: Young Hearts Run Free, the Romeo & Juliet cover.
Reception entrance song: Feel So Close by Calvin Harris.
Exit Song: Horses by Darryl Braithwaite.
Anything You Would Change?
“Not a thing at all, it was beyond perfect! We are still in our little newlywed bubble and loving it. Now we get to relive it all over again through our beautiful photos and video.”
