The 2021 One Fine Day Sydney Runway Wedding Dress Lineup

gorgeous wedding bride and bridesmaids wearing beautiful wedding dresses

We are calling it – the One Fine Day Wedding Fair runway in Sydney was the best one yet. We were so thrilled to bring our world-renowned show onto our Sydney stage in 2021 in partnership with Hello May Magazine.

Featuring outstanding designers such as Moira Hughes, Karen Willis Holmes and Prea James Bridal we are delighted to bring you the One Fine Day runway report of every single wedding dress look and grooms party suits.

Captured by Tones & Harmony, and with stunning hair and makeup by Monique Kazokas and product by Napoleon Perdis be sure to scroll through each and every gown to find your dream look.

MOIRA HUGHES COUTURE

Our resident runway closer, Moira Hughes turned up the volume this year with her jaw-dropping gowns. A couture tulle, tiered gown had the entire audience gasp and grab their phones in unison to capture the most show stopping piece on the runway in 2021. Moira Hughes pulled out all the shots – think side splits, volume, lace, tulle and embellished looks. The Quinn Gown and complimenting veil was another key highlight, closing the entire show with a dramatic veil cascading down the runway.

KAREN WILLIS HOLMES

Everyone was thrilled to see Karen Willis Holmes gowns glide down the runway to open the Sydney 2021 show. Her breathtaking bridal gowns had the audience’s hearts in a flutter. This year’s pieces featured exquisite, handcrafted detailing and adornment with a high attention to detail. The silhouettes are incredibly versatile and really enhance the feminine physique.

CATHLEEN JIA

If we had to sum up Cathleen Jia, it would be classic with a contemporary twist. Key features included organza, beading, fine lace panels and cut out features for some extra va-va-voom. These elegant, sophisticated pieces glided down the runway with ease. Cathleen Jia in collaboration with The White Files are showing us that bridal separates aren’t going anywhere this season and neither are dress pants showcasing the Braxton Two Piece for that oh-so-cool bridal edge.

OLEG CASSINI

This season is all about the A-line silhouette for Oleg Cassini. A feminine and flattering shape for all brides, make sure to have this brand on your A-list. An absolute highlight on the runway this year was the Lily Gown, adorned with feathers on the shoulders, it flew and fluttered down the runway with grace.

WITH LOVE BY MALLIKA

Oh Mallika, how we love you and your statement gowns! The Flora gown had brides-to-be dizzy with delight over the intricate detail and unique feature sleeves. With Love By Mallika showcased a stunning collection of feminine pieces for the modern bride who appreciates a vintage twist.

EM BRIDAL BOUTQUE

Watching these gowns waltz down the runway was a sight to see. This year Em Bridal are making structure and side splits a THING. The Nam gown was a unique addition, featuring a structured gown with lace tie detailing and a bolero style jacket over the top. Em Bridal Boutique should be your go-to for a unique collection of show stopping pieces for the bride who dares to be different.

CHERIE BY OUI

We were so thrilled to see new kid of the block Cherie By Oui on the Sydney runway. Launched in 2020, Chérie by Oui is the brainchild of the makers behind Oui The Label. Cherie by Oui is a different expression of the label harnessing elevated styling and embellished pieces. We fell hopelessly in love with the new label and we think you will too.

GRACE LOVES LACE

It’s plain to see why Grace Loves Lace has earned a cult following among Australian brides. This year we were served some serious boho-luxe energy on the One Fine Day runway. Fish tail silhouettes, all over lace and even a two piece ensemble called Behati were some real highlights.

CARTE BLANCHE

There’s something about Carte Blanche – maybe it’s the refined details, maybe it’s the bespoke French designs – either way we l’amour! If you are looking for the best selection of bespoke handmade French wedding dresses, Carte Blanche should be on your hit list. We were so thrilled to see Carte Blanche gowns glide down the runway in the most sophisticated fashion. The lace detailing and understated elegance had us lost at Bonjour!
