About

Welcome to Mewburn Park Homestead.

What better way to celebrate this moment in life than at an unforgettable 1850’s homestead – the perfect spot for your perfect day. Mewburn Park is located in the heart of Gippsland’s food and wine region. The Homestead and extensive gardens date back to 1850 and are situated on a private property; 300 acres of a working farm. Experience a stunning ceremony under one of the shady trees or at the historic Stables, your choice. Lush green gardens, a romantic driveway, the picturesque lagoons: there are breathtaking photo opportunities everywhere. A dreamy reception under the stars awaits in our stunning clear-view marquee for an unforgettable wedding.

Our aim here at Mewburn Park is to create a relaxed day & night for our couples and their family and friends. We are here to make your dream a reality and offer our advice and experience to help you create a wedding day that represents you both.

It’s all here in the one place, waiting for you.

How it works?

Choose the venue hire package that suits you best. Then add the beverage package to customise your time line and choose one of our hand picked caterers for everything food. We let you choose your ceremony spot (almost) anywhere you like, helping you to create that dreamy wedding ceremony that is unique for you two.

Mewburn Park Homestead is a licensed venue for up to 130 guests. For a more intimate celebration we have a minimum of 50 adult guests. For an event over 130 people we can apply for an extension for our liquor license, please contact us for more information.

Weddings are our bread and butter, and we love what we do. Let us look after you, your family and friends.

Are you BYO?

    • Mewburn Park is a licensed venue; we run the bar, hence no BYO
    • All staff members practice the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA). Any intoxicated patrons will be refused service, and may be asked to leave the premises at discretion of the manager. This also applies for patrons who BYO their drinks
    • The liquor license ends strictly at 11.30pm at night. Once the bar closes or your beverage package timing ends, you and your guests have max. 30 minutes to vacate the premises.

Transport, are there ubers?

  • Not yet, sorry
  • But, there are taxis in the area, but we are in regional country, so they are limited availabilities.
  • Organising a bus is the safest way to get your guests home. We are happy to provide local suppliers
  • TAXI: 13CABS services or Sale/Maffra Taxi service 0490 370 701

Do you have a bad weather back up

  • Yes, we better factor that in, always good to have Plan B in place.
  • There is a space to hold your ceremony in case the weather is not on our side, it's call ed the (fancy) Farmers Shed and hold up to 160 guests).
  • We also have a 50/50 plan, let us explain it when you come for a visit

Can we bring out dogs, or a horse?

  • Oh we love a little fury friend, please feel free to bring your dog along for the ceremony and photos afterwards. Needless to say, dogs need to be supervised, on a leash and looked after (doggy bag) all the time.
  • We kindly remind you that your dog needs to leave the premises before reception.
  • You can even bring a horse, but let's chat in person how we can make that work, it's all in the details
