You know what’s incredibly refreshing in this day and age? Brands listening to the market, their customers and the environment to make conscious, clever and downright brilliant business decisions. It’s a rare thing to find, but bridal powerhouse Bo & Luca have achieved just this.
“Being a small team means that we come into daily contact with information from the outside world; our global stockist, our online brides and through our ongoing market research,” Head Designer, Shannon Pittman explains. “We stepped back and listened to the feedback. We saw the need for feminine, simple, structured and minimalist silhouettes in three key fabrications. But with global economies being in disarray, the modern-day bride is often bound by her strict budget and isn’t prepared to skimp on quality.”
Which is why the diffusion brand, TEMPLE by Bo & Luca – which gave rise to a sublime wedding dress collection which reflected the spirit and quality of Bo & Luca, but at a much more accessible price point – was created.
Fast forwarding to 2020, Bo & Luca is now launching her biggest and boldest TEMPLE collection, championing three fabrications that they know brides will respond to: Minimal, lace and beaded. To say these gowns are gorgeous is perhaps the largest understatement of the century. Don’t believe us? Take a look yourself:

Told you they were good.
So what actually goes into the production of wedding dresses like these? Shannon explains, “Bo & Luca Gowns have always been, and always will be, made from 100% silk and be 100% hand-headed which doesn’t allow for much room on their accompanying price tags— couture comes at a price! However, creating a diffusion brand in TEMPLE meant more room for experimentation regarding fabrications and production methods used to reduce costs without necessarily reducing the quality- in essence, we’re creating affordable luxury.”
For your reference, this TEMPLE by Bo & Luca collection features wedding dresses costing between $1,500 and $3,200AUD, whereas their Bo & Luca labelhead collection can cost around $8,000AUD per wedding dress.

She elaborates, “Every bride deserves to look and feel like the best version of herself on her wedding day. We believe that TEMPLE opens this door to every bride and we are delighted to share it with the world.”
